Let’s start your Monday off right with a place to meet the makers and drink a variety of ciders with our beautiful cider community. Happy Hour food and beverage deals will be available from 3:00-5:00. If you can’t make it today, no problem, the extended cider taps will run all week long (1/13-1/21) at both the SE and Beaverton locations. January 16, 2024(4 events) CiderCon® Tour: Co-existing and Co-fermenting in the Willamette Valley Cider & Wine Region8:30 am – 5:45 pm The Willamette Valley, just south of Portland, contains two-thirds of Oregon’s wineries and vineyards. It’s also home to fabulous cideries, many of them using the bounty of the region to make co-ferments. On this tour we’ll visit four cideries and orchards to chat about how they coexist in wine country and taste their ciders. Tour cost includes tastings, lunch, and transportation. Visit: – MapCiderCon® Tour: Columbia Gorge Cidery & Brewery Tour8:30 am – 5:45 pm Visit three fermentation focused businesses in the scenic Columbia River Gorge that make both cider and beer: Double Mountain, Mt View Orchards, and Working Hands Fermentation. We’ll tour production spaces and tasting rooms to see how these businesses attract both the local community and tourists, both beer and cider drinkers. Enjoy talks presented by Head Cidermaker Dave Takush from 2 Towns and Miles Munroe of Westward Whiskey. Don’t miss this opportunity to savor the fusion of flavors, expertise, and passion that drives the production of these fine craft beverages. January 17, 2024(1 event) CANCELLED: CiderCon® Tour: 2 Towns Ciderhouse Open House10:00 am – 2:00 pm (Corvallis) CANCELLED DUE TO ICE STORM: 2 Towns Ciderhouse – the nation’s largest independent craft cider producer – will open its doors for a special CiderCon Open House. Plan to arrive by 10:30 am if you’d like to join a tour of the production facility (a former helicopter hanger!). You’ll also have the opportunity to meet with cider makers, enjoy free cider tastings of more than 20 ciders as well as hot cider, and mingle with CiderCon attendees. Lunch and goodies from local food trucks will be available for purchase. |

January 20, 2024(3 events) Art +Science Drop-in Open House12:00 pm – 4:00 pm Yearning for adventure? We’ve got you covered with a drop-in OPEN HOUSE from 12-4pm at Art+Science’s farm based cidery located about 1.5hrs away from Portland in the Willamette Valley. We are keeping it lose with a choose your own adventure of orchard tours, cidery tours, garden tours, tastings by the firepit or bottle sales. Normally we are closed to the public this time of year cuz Oregon is gross in the winter, but we figured we’d fling the doors open for CiderCon for any stragglers wanting to visit. Dan & Kim will be available to answer all of your burning questions about natural fermentation, petnats, pollinators, organic farming, birds of prey, art, co-ferments and (especially) cats. Artisans by Cider Summit1:00 pm – 4:00 pm (Lloyd District) Artisans by Cider Summit will feature at least 32 ciders crafted by 16 of the world’s leading cider producers. Artisans will follow CiderCon, the cider industry’s signature conference taking place January 16-19. Artisans will feature at least 18 of the world’s leading cider producers and 40 selections. Each cidery is recognized for benchmark quality in their respective regions. Your ticket will include a pass to taste each cider as well as food samples from local artisan food purveyors including Portland Creamery, Gluten Free Gem Bakery, Missionary Chocolates, From Grapes & Olives and Blue Star Donuts. There will also be a special Pommeau tasting feature. Bottles to-go will be available in our event store along with Cider Summit festival merchandise. In our case, it also means a cider party!
The purpose of wassailing is to awaken the cider apple trees and to scare away evil spirits to ensure a good harvest. So come join us as we toast to the next cider harvest!
